    SAE United States Marine Corps Scholarship

    The Col. Hugh J. Holloman USMC (Ret.) & Major R. Mark "Hondo" Davids USMC (Ret.) SAE United States Marine Corps Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship support for United States Marine Corps (USMC) veterans or Officer Candidates at the University of Maryland. Veterans who are members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity or are active in the Greek system are encouraged to apply, though all USMC veterans or Officer Candidates are eligible to receive the scholarship.

    The American Reads*America Counts*Partners in Print Mentorship Scholarship Fund provides scholarship(s) to students who serve as mentors for the America Reads, America Counts, or Partners in Print Programs.
  • Adele's Circle Fund
    Created in 2013 by a dedicated group of women graduates who combine their energy and expertise to achieve maximum success in their personal and professional lives. Adele's Circle is founded on the legacy and visionary contributions of Adele H. Stamp, the first Dean of Women at the University of Maryland. We honor her by emulating her excellence, high standards, and outstanding traditions.
  • Alexion Veterans Scholarship Fund
    The University of Maryland Alexion Veterans Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to students who are Veterans of the U.S. military, demonstrate financial need, and have shown career ambitions and/or a demonstration of service to others in the community.
  • Alpha Chi Omega (Chapter House) Fund
    The Alpha Chi Omega Chapter House Fund was established for the sole purpose of attending to Alpha Chi Omega's goal of providing financial support needed to maintain and enhance the Alpha Chi Omega House.

    The Alpha Phi Alpha - Iota Zeta Chapter Scholarship provides annual scholarships to members and of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity at the University of Maryland, who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence.

  • Alternative Breaks Scholarship Fund
    The Alternative Breaks (AB) Program integrates leadership and community service opportunities through intensive multi-day national and international service trips over University class breaks. The powerful learning and serving experiences make a difference in the lives of students and in the communities in which they serve. Alternative Breaks sends hundreds of students each year on service-learning trips to address some of the most pressing social, political and environmental issues of our time.
  • America Counts Fund
    America Counts is a partnership between UM and Prince George's County Public Schools which provides high quality after-school mentoring for elementary school students, helping them with reading, basic math skills, homework, problem solving and group activities. America Counts offers strong civic engagement opportunities for college students and through their experiences many students have followed careers in teaching or non-profit management.
  • America Reads Fund
    America Reads is a partnership between UM and Prince George's County Public Schools which provides high quality mentoring for elementary school students, helping them with reading, homework, critical thinking, reflective writing and hands-on group activities. Through their experiences with America Reads many UM students have looked into careers in teaching or non-profit management to help continue giving back to local communities.
  • Arthur and Marianne Schneider Scholarship Fund
    The Arthur and Marianne Schneider Scholarship Fund was established by Art '72 and Marianne S. Schneider '72 in order to provide need-based tuition support to undergraduate students who are either active, or honorably discharged from, military service.
  • Avis and Bruce Richards Endowed Veterans Scholarship Fund
    The Avis and Bruce Richards Endowed Veterans Scholarship was established by Avis '80 and Bruce Richards to support multiple need-based undergraduate scholarships each year for student veterans.
  • B. Udelle Friedland Memorial Endowed Scholarship
    The B. Udelle Friedland Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established by Udelle’s family to honor her memory and to provide need-based scholarship support to returning students at the University of Maryland. The Friedland Family is honored to name this scholarship in her memory as she was committed to the betterment of herself and others through education.

  • Berlage Alternative Spring Break Scholarship
    The Berlage Alternative Spring Break Fund was established in June 2007 by Bruce and Donna Berlage. The Fund provides support for students to participate in Alternative Spring Break, a substance-free, community service-learning program in the Community Service-Learning Office of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union.
  • Beta Theta Pi - Delta Omega Chapter House Fund
    The Beta Theta Pi - Delta Omega Chapter House Fund provides building enhancements, additions and improvements to the chapter house located at #6 Fraternity.
  • Beta Theta Pi - Delta Omega Scholarship Fund
    The Beta Theta Pi - Delta Omega Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships to members of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at the University of Maryland, who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence. Gifts in support of this fund will support the current use scholarship fund until the minimum threshold required to convert this fund to endowment is reached.

    Supports the activities, programs and competition related expenses of this club, as well as the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies.   • Brandon James Malstrom Memorial Scholarship
    The Brandon James Malstrom Memorial Scholarship was established in December 2002 by friends and family of the late Brandon James Malstrom, a junior operations and quality management major who died suddenly in November 2002. Spendable Income from the Scholarship provides an annual scholarship for a transfer student at the University whose educational aspirations best exemplify those of Brandon Malstrom.
  • Bright Futures Internship Scholarship Fund
    The Bright Futures Internship Scholarship Fund supports students pursuing unpaid or low paying internship opportunities. This important fund helps to provide students, who may be facing financial constraints, the opportunity to take part in these internships.
  • Bruce L. and Donna W. Berlage Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Fund
    The Bruce L. and Donna W. Berlage Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Fund was established to support an Annual Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture at the University of Maryland, College Park. The goal of the Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Series is to bring high caliber national and world leaders to campus for the benefit of the entire campus community including students, faculty, staff and alumni.
  • Camille Rajpat Initiative
    The Camille Rajpat Initiative Endowment was established in May 2003 by Aimlall and Norma Rajpat, in memory of their daughter Camille, who died of complications from cancer treatment while in her senior year at the University. Spendable Income from the Camille Rajpat Initiative Endowment provides annual support for the Rajpat Initiative Program and the work of the Office of Judicial Programs in the Division of Student Affairs.
  • Campus Pantry Fund
    The mission of the UMD Campus Food Pantry is to alleviate food insecurity and food hardship among UMD-College Park students, faculty and staff. Our specific objectives include: Creating a safe space to distribute good quality and nutritious emergency food to current UMD-College Park students, faculty and staff. Creating and promoting a space on campus dedicated to food donation collection. Collecting good quality and nutritious food items (donations) that may otherwise go to waste to enhance sustainability initiatives on campus. Raising awareness around hunger issues, especially as experienced by low-income college students and Encouraging student engagement to foster a sense of community, volunteerism and service to peers on campus.

  • Carlson Family Scholarship Fund
    The Carlson Family Scholarship Fund provides an annual scholarship for an enrolled undergraduate student in good standing with the University and who is a member of any registered student organization.
  • Chafitz Family Endowed Scholarship
    The Chafitz Family Scholarship was established by Dr. Evan and Dr. Jill Chafitz to provide need-based scholarships to undergraduate students with unmet financial need, especially those who wish to attend medical or dental school upon graduating from Maryland.
  • Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Endowed Scholarship
    The Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Endowed Scholarship was established in October 2008 by the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation. Spendable Income from the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Endowed Scholarship provides annual need-based scholarships for students enrolled at the University who are at least 25 years of age and who meet additional eligibility considerations.

    The Chi Phi Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for undergraduate University of Maryland students who are chapter members.
  • Clifton L. Brown, Jr. '73 TerpStart Endowed Scholarship for Veterans
    The Clifton L. Brown, Jr. ’73 TerpStart Endowed Scholarship for Veterans was established by Clif, an Army veteran and University of Maryland alumnus to support undergraduate student veterans who have financial need.
  • Colonel J. Logan Schutz Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the Year Award
    The Colonel J. Logan Schutz Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the Year Award provides an annual monetary award and plaque to an outstanding member of Omicron Delta Kappa selected as the Leader of the Year. Leaders exemplify one or more of the ODK principles: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service; social, or religious activities and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; creative and performing arts.
  • Colonel Robert A. Stewart USAF Veterans Scholarship Fund
    Established in 2012, the Colonel Robert A. Stewart USAF Veterans Scholarship Fund will help ensure that Veteran students with financial need will have the support necessary to continue their studies.
  • Community Service Learning
    A joint fund between the Stamp Student Union and the Office of Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy (MICA), the Community Service Learning Fund provides funding for community service learning projects sponsored through the Stamp Student Union.
  • Conferences and Visitor Services Student Employee Scholarship Fund
    The Conferences and Visitor Services Student Employee Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to UMD students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and have made a positive impact on Conferences & Visitor Services and the University community.
  • Counseling Center Fund
    The Counseling Center Fund provides operating support for the University of Maryland Counseling Center.
  • Counseling Center Professional Development
    The Counseling Center Professional Development Fund was developed to provide advanced professional program and training opportunities for Counseling Center Staff.

    Supports the activities, programs and competition related expenses of this club, as well as the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies.   • DFSL Diversity and Inclusion Fund
    Different is good. Fraternities and sororities are unique in how they help traditional-aged students develop identify and clarify personal values. In order for our members to become the next generation of society’s leaders, they must acquire the knowledge, experience, and cultural competencies necessary to succeed in a multicultural society. We believe there is no better place to hone those skills than in a fraternity and sorority. The Diversity and Inclusion Fund (D&IF) supports academic, chapter-specific, and community wide programs and support staff that help chapters focus on fostering a more diverse and inclusive community.
  • DFSL Scholarship Fund
    Scholastic achievement and academic success are principle values of every fraternity and sorority at the University of Maryland. Yet some students are unable to afford to join because they cannot meet the financial requirements of being a student and joining a Greek-letter organization. The Fraternity and Sorority Scholarship Fund (FSSF) provides any student on campus the opportunity to join a fraternity or sorority and meet the financial needs of college.
  • DFSL Sexual Assault Prevention and Bystander Intervention Fund
    Sexual Assault remains a national problem on college campuses. As campus leaders, members of fraternities and sororities have a duty to lead the movement in making campuses and chapters safer. The Sexual Assault Prevention Fund (SAPF) supports sexual assault prevention support staff and programs such as the Ten Man Plan / Ten Woman Plan – a well-established and nationally recognized program that focuses on changing the culture within our chapters so that all members act on their personal responsibility to prevent sexual assault.
  • Daniel M. Zolotorofe Memorial Scholarship Fund
    The Daniel M. Zolotorofe Foundation Scholarship Fund was established in 2012 by the family of the late Dan Zolotorofe, a University Junior who died tragically due to complications from Type 1 Diabetes in November 2011. In order to preserve Dan's memory, one $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time University of Maryland undergraduate student who is an active member of the UMD Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. The scholarship may be used to help cover tuition, room, board or textbooks.
  • David E. Mills Memorial Scholarship
    The David E. Mills Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in October 2010 in memory of David E. Mills by his family and friends. In tribute to David Mills, the scholarship is awarded to students who share his commitment to, and passion for, issues of diversity. Recipients must have worked for The Diamondback for at least two semesters and continue to work on The Diamondback during the award period.

    The Delta Chi Gift Fund was established for the sole purpose of attending to Delta Chi's goal of providing financial support needed to maintain and enhance the Delta Chi House.

  • Department of Resident Life Programming Fund
    The Department of Resident Life Programming Fund helps to support operating and programmatic expenses of the Department of Resident Life, such as the New Resident Orientation or alcohol education programs.
  • Department of Resident Life Student Employee Scholarship
    The Department of Resident Life Student Employee Scholarship was created in 2015 to provide need based aid to hard working students who are employed by the Department of Resident Life (DRL) while pursuing their undergraduate education. This scholarship will recognize student employees who exhibit dedication to their education and to the Department of Resident Life mission through their daily roles.
  • Department of Residential Facilities Scholarship
    The Department of Residential Facilities Scholarship was established to provide support for student employees of the Department of Residential Facilities or their dependents who are enrolled at the University.
  • Dining Services Discretionary Fund
    The Dining Services Discretionary Fund was established to provide operational, development and student awards to members of the Department of Dining Services.
  • Divine Nine Emergency Tuition and Assistance Fund
    The Divine Nine Emergency Tuition and Assistance Fund has been established to support emergency financial need (tuition, room and board, books, etc.) to undergraduate members of the UMCP chapters of the nine historically Black Greek letter organizations that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council, which are referred to as "The Divine Nine." The Divine Nine Emergency Tuition and Assistance Fund is established by the alumni members of the Divine Nine organizations in recognition of their shared values and their association with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc.
  • Division of Student Affairs Awards Fund
    The Division of Student Affairs Awards Fund was established for the purpose of recognizing the contributions of Division of Student Affairs staff.
  • Division of Student Affairs Scholarship Fund
    The Division of Student Affairs Scholarship seeks to recognize undergraduate students who have made a significant impact on the quality of life for students and/or employees at the University of Maryland. Successful scholarship candidates show evidence of commitment to the job, leadership, quality of work, accomplishments, and a genuine dedication to providing service to students and/or the University community through their positions.
  • Dodgeball Club Fund
    The Maryland Dodgeball Club Fund provides support for the program operations and equipment needs of the Maryland Dodgeball Club.
  • Dominic and Pat Ciardi Endowed Scholarship
    The Dominic and Pat Ciardi Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of Dominic, a United States Marine Corps Veteran and his wife Pat by family and friends, including their children, Cindy Ciardi Whittington ’79, Kim Ciardi Madlinger ’81, Mark Ciardi ’83, and Scott Ciardi ’87 to support veterans at the University of Maryland who have financial need.
  • Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance Scholarship Fund
    The Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance program at the University of Maryland is designed to help students avoid dropping out of school when faced with unforeseen financial difficulties. Dreamkeepers can help ease student worries about housing, food and utilities, tuition and books, transportation, childcare and medical needs, allowing students faced with sudden financial obstacles to focus their energy on education.
  • Drury G. Bagwell Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Fund
    Established by former Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and beloved ODK Faculty Secretary, Drury G. “Dru” Bagwell, gifts to this account support an annual distinguished lecture.
  • Edward and Janet Friedson Memorial Veterans Scholarship
    Established in 2010 by Edward and Janet Friedson’s family members, The Edward and Janet Friedson Memorial Veterans Scholarship, provides financial assistance to an undergraduate or graduate student who is a veteran, active duty member or a reservist of the U.S. military, demonstrates financial need, and either exhibits positive career ambitions or displays leadership and service to others in the community.
  • Eisen Family Internship Scholarship Endowment
    The David and Amy Eisen Family Internship Scholarship was established by David and Amy Eisen to assist undergraduate students participating in unpaid or low-pay internships through the University Career Center & President’s Promise Bright Futures Initiative.
  • Equestrian Club
    Supports the activities, programs and competition related expenses of this club, as well as the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies.   • Ernest M. Willcher Veterans Scholarship
    The Ernest M. Willcher Veterans Scholarship was established in loving memory by his wife and sons of Ernest M. Willcher, who served in the US Army for four years and spent 36 years working for the Army as a civilian employee, before perishing in the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The Scholarship supports veteran students at the University of Maryland College Park.
  • Faculty Staff Assistance Fund
    The Faculty Staff Assistance Fund is available to assist faculty and staff in cases of personal financial emergencies who have exhausted all other avenues of support. The fund was designed to address unexpected financial emergencies such as; a death in the family where an employee must travel a large distance or an emergency medical expenses.
  • Field Hockey Club

  • First Command Veterans Scholarship
    Created by the First Command Financial Services Office in Arlington, Virginia as a way to support the educational goals of military families, this scholarship provides financial assistance for Veterans and active duty military as well as their spouses and children.
  • Food Recovery Network Fund
    The Food Recovery Network (FRN) is a network of student groups and individuals at UMD volunteering to recover the surplus food from the dining halls and sports games and donate it to hungry men, women and children in the DC area. Reducing food waste and providing for our neighbors makes our whole community stronger.
  • Frank and Janice Cirillo Endowed Scholarship for Veterans
    The Frank and Janice Cirillo Endowed Scholarship for Veterans was established by Frank '66 and Jan '66 to provide support for veterans with a preference for students enrolled in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
  • Friends of Marsha Guenzler-Stevens
    The Friends of Marsha Guenzler-Stevens Garden of Reflection and Remembrance Fund was established to name a significant element of the Garden in honor of Marsha Guenzler-Stevens, director of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union Center for Campus Life and dedicated member of the UM family for almost 30 years. A gift to the Friends of Marsha Guenzler-Stevens Garden Fund recognizes and celebrates her work as the firesoul that brought this Garden to life.
  • Gamer Symphony Orchestra Support Fund
    The Gamer Symphony Orchestra Support Fund was established to support the student run group devoted to performing orchestral arrangements of video game music and using that music as an educational tool. Funds help to promote and sustain the Gamer Symphony Orchestra's performances and cover related activities costs.
  • Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship Fund
    The Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for undergraduate University of Maryland students who are chapter members.
  • Gamma Psi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Scholarship
    Spendable income from the Gamma Psi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Scholarship provides scholarship support for at least two undergraduate students annually who demonstrate academic merit, strong leadership qualities, community service, good citizenship, and financial need.
  • Garden of Remembrance Gift Fund
    In a time when most people run their lives with an overcrowded calendar and the world seems a bit more fragile, finding time—let alone a place—to reflect is difficult. The Garden of Reflection and Remembrance is such a place. Located adjacent to the Memorial Chapel, we invite you to join us at this special campus addition. Memorial gifts are welcome and naming opportunities are available.
  • Garden of Remembrance: Friends of India Tiller
    The Garden of Remembrance, Friends of India Tiller Garden Project was established by the colleagues and friends of India Tiller for the purpose of honoring her memory through support of the University of Maryland Garden of Reflection and Remembrance.
  • Geary F. Eppley Fund for the Enhancement of the Student Experience
    The Eppley Fund was created in memory of Geary F. Eppley, a pioneer in the area of student health and wellness. The Fund supports the UM Active Student Initiative, helps to create and enhance student recreation venues and provides assistance to our many UM sports clubs and related initiatives.
  • George O. Weber Family Endowed Veterans Scholarship
    The George O. Weber Family Endowed Veterans Scholarship was established in 2016 by Jeffrey A. Weber '76 and Robert C. Weber '74 in memory of their father. The fund provides need-based scholarship support for veteran students at the University of Maryland.
  • Gerald G. Portney Memorial Scholarship Fund
    Clara Portney Felsher established this scholarship in honor of her husband, Gerald G. Portney. The income shall be used to provide financial assistance for the Returning Students Program of the Counseling Center at the University.

    The Golf Course Enhancement Fund was created to maintain and continue to enhance the University of Maryland Golf Course.
  • Golf Course Renovation Fund
    Supports enhancements to the UM Golf Course including reconstruction of all tee and green complexes to USGA specifications, new concrete golf car paths, construction of new bunkers, and expanded practice facilities. Future plans include construction of a pavilion, improvements to the clubhouse and other facilities.

    The Jack Godfrey Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by Jack’s family in order to help create educational opportunities for University of Maryland students who demonstrate a passion for learning and interest in creative writing.
  • Janet Remington Memorial Student Health Services Endowment
    The Janet Remington Memorial Student Health Services Endowment provides health services, through the University Health Center, to support students suffering from eating disorders and/or from physical or emotional abuse.
  • John Connolly Memorial Sailing Team Scholarship Fund
    The John Connolly Memorial Sailing Team Scholarship was established in August of 2014 in memory of John by his family and friends. John Connolly ’71 was a leader on campus and an active member of the University of Maryland Sailing Team. He spent much of his life teaching advanced sailing courses around the world and fostered a love of sailing in many of those who learned from him. This Scholarship will support students who are active on the University of Maryland Sailing Team and demonstrate academic merit and financial need.
  • John K. Bennett Memorial Scholarship - Kappa Alpa Order
    The John K. Bennett Memorial Scholarship was established in 1967 in memory of John King Bennett, a former student in the College of Business and Public Administration. Scholarships will be awarded to full-time University of Maryland undergraduate students who are active members of the Beta Kappa Chapter, Kappa Alpha Order.
  • Joseph Mitchell Memorial Scholarship
    The Joseph M. Mitchell Scholarship Award was established to honor the memory of Joseph M. Mitchell, a staff member of the Department of Resident Life for nearly 17 years, who passed away in 2005. A scholarship is offered each spring and fall to students who best display the character of Joseph M. Mitchell.

    The Matthew W. Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in July 2007 by friends and family of the late Matthew W. Watson, a University sophomore who died suddenly in May 2007. Spendable Income from the Matthew W. Watson Memorial Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships of at least $1,000 for an incoming freshman or transfer student at the University who has graduated from Centennial High School in Howard County, Maryland.

Gifts to the Parents Initiatives Fund go to work immediately and support programs and activities not covered by tuition and fees—experiences that transform students and prepare them for a lifetime of success. In the past, funds have been used for: health and wellness programming, academic support/tutoring, career development, unpaid internship scholarships, alcohol-free, on-campus weekend programs, student leadership development, Alternative Breaks/Service-Learning opportunities, and parent and family resources.
  • Parents as Partners Gift Fund
    The Parents as Partners Campaign helps sustain programs sponsored by the Office of Parent and Family Affairs and directly support initiatives of the Maryland Parents Association. Support from parents provides students with scholarships that enable them to continue their education at (and graduate from) the university. Contributions from parents have provided funding for additional tutors in the Math Success Program, helped institute the AlcoholEdu Program, enabled the creation of the Office of Student Conduct's Integrity, Character and Ethics (ICE) Campaign, helped establish a special service-learning opportunity through the Office of Leadership and Community Service-Learning, and much more.

    Resident Assistants at the University of Maryland make a lasting impact in the lives of students through their leadership, dedication, and compassion for their fellow peers. The Resident Assistant Scholarship Fund will provide critical support to UMD RAs facing financial hardships. Through scholarships for textbooks/technology and tuition, deserving student leaders will receive financial assistance to help off-set rising education costs.

    The Returning Student Scholarship provides support for need-based scholarships for students enrolled at the University who are at least 25 years of age and who meet additional eligibility considerations.     The Robert L. German Veterans and Dependents Scholarship provides an annual scholarship for students who are veterans and/or dependents of veterans or active duty members.
  • Robin and Tom Portman Scholarship for Undergraduate Veteran Students
    In 2013, Robin Portman, a 1980 graduate of the University with a B.S. and a 1989 UMUC graduate with an M.S., and Tom Portman, a 1986 UMUC graduate with a B.A., established this fund to support undergraduate veteran students.

    Through the generosity of the Fountain family, the Ronald S. Fountain Family Terpstart Endowed Scholarship was established in 2013 to support an undergraduate student with significant financial need to complete his or her education.

    Established by the Senior Council in 2015, the Senior Class Scholarship Fund provides need-based scholarship support to Seniors at the University of Maryland.

  • Sigma Psi Zeta Scholarship Fund
    The Sigma Psi Zeta Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for undergraduate University of Maryland students who are chapter members.
  • Stamp Student Employee Scholarship
    The Stamp Student Union provides a number of opportunities for students to find meaningful employment, and to work diligently to make Stamp a warm and friendly place to visit. The increased financial burdens of attending the University, however, mean there are still gaps in meeting their academic expenses. With the help of past Stamp employees, this endowed scholarship will provide additional academic support for these hard-working students.
  • Stamp Student Involvement Suite Fund
    The Stamp Student Involvement Suite Fund supports the renovation, maintenance and operation of the Stamp Student Union Student Involvement Suite.
  • Stamp Student Union Art Purchase Program Fund
    Every other year, five students are selected to serve on the Union Contemporary Art Purchasing Program Committee, research potential pieces, and travel to Washington, D.C., Baltimore and New York City to purchase art for the Union’s permanent collection. The selected pieces are showcased around the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, opening the eyes of students and community members to the varied perspectives and cultures of contemporary artists.
  • Stamp Student Union Enhancement Fund
    The Stamp Student Union Enhancement Fund provides critical funding to support building renovations and other projects related to the improvement of the Stamp Student Union. In addition, funding provides support for student programming and other initiatives supporting student learning in the Stamp.
  • Stamp Student Union Programming Fund
    The Stamp Student Union Programming Fund helps to provide additional support to the programs and services offered through the Stamp Student Union.
  • Student Crisis Fund
    The Division of Student Affairs established the UMD Student Crisis Fund in 2001 to keep students on the path to academic success during a personal and unexpected crisis. The Fund helps any currently enrolled student who faces an unanticipated emergency that requires immediate financial need. Any student, a member of the University community, or any person concerned about a student can apply for support.
  • Student Entertainment Events Operating Fund
    The Student Entertainment Events (SEE) Operating Fund provides programmatic support for shows and events planned and organized by the SEE Offices and staff.
  • Student Entertainment Events Scholarship Fund
    The SEE Scholarship Fund annually awards scholarships to SEE student leaders for helping offset the cost of textbooks initially and growing to help offset tuition expenses.
  • Student Government Association (SGA) Scholarship Fund
    The Student Government Association Scholarship Fund provides funding for leadership development opportunities for SGA leaders.
  • Student Success Emergency Scholarship (SSES) Fund
    The Student Success Emergency Scholarship (SSES) Fund was created to help students who face unforeseen financial difficulties or extraordinary hardship to stay in school.
  • Substance Abuse Control Fund
    The Substance Abuse Control Fund was established for the purpose of supporting substance abuse control programs through the University of Maryland, University Health Center.

    The Tau Epsilon Phi Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for undergraduate University of Maryland students who are chapter members.

    The Tau Kappa Epsilon Fund was established for the sole purpose of attending to Tau Kappa Epsilon's goal of providing the financial support needed to maintain and enhance the Tau Kappa Epsilon House.

  • Terp Thon Support Fund
    Internships. A home away from home. Leadership opportunities. So much of the Maryland experience can be traced to the Division of Student Affairs. It complements the academic experience, fostering a sense of community and pride on campus and it enhances every student’s development by offering access to cultural experiences, civic engagement and recreation. Your gift allows Student Affairs to meet the needs of Maryland students and help each one develop into a responsible, healthy, civically engaged leader.
  • Terp Vets Alumni Endowed Veterans Scholarship
    The Terp Vets Alumni Scholarship provides scholarships for student veterans active in Terp Vets, the University’s student veteran organization. Preference is given to student veterans who have either exhausted or are nearing the end of their GI Bill benefits.
  • Terps Against Hunger
    Terps Against Hunger organizes and facilitates food-packaging events on UMD's campus in order to reduce the burden of hunger in local communities. All of our meals are distributed locally, working with our partners to provide assistance to children and families who do not have enough food on a day-to-day basis.
  • Terps for Recovery
    This fund provides support to Terps for Recovery, a student organization that promotes the academic and social well-being of students at the University of Maryland who are in recovery from alcohol and/or drug use.
  • The Alex Hammer Memorial Shuttle Scholarship
    The Alex Hammer Memorial Shuttle Scholarship Fund was established in 2017 by Helene Hammer in memory of her husband Alex. The scholarship provides support to student employees of the Department of Transportation Services with preference for students involved with Shuttle UM.
  • The Alexion and Siahatgar Families Endowed Scholarship Fund
    Perry W. Alexion ’87 and Rachelle M. Alexion and Bijan R. Siahatgar ’88 and Kanchan Siahatgar established the Alexion and Siahatgar Families Endowed Veterans Scholarship in 2015. The Scholarship provides need-based support to student veterans at the University of Maryland.
  • The Wes and Jo Ann Chin Endowed Scholarship
    The Wes and Jo Ann Chin Endowed Scholarship provides an annual award for the academic year for current undergraduate students in good standing who may be unable to continue their education at the University due to extenuating financial circumstances.
  • Theta Chi Scholarship Fund
    The Theta Chi Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for undergraduate University of Maryland students who are chapter members.
  • Transportation Services Student Employee Scholarship Fund
    The Transportation Services Student Employee Excellence in Leadership Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance to UMD students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills and have made a positive impact on the Department of Transportation Services and the University community.

    The University Chapel Operating Fund supports operations, programs and facilities renovations of the University of Maryland Chapel.
  • University Recreation & Wellness Club Sports Enhancement Fund
    The Club Sports Enhancement Fund helps a deserving Club Sport manage costs associated with equipment, travel for competitions, and club enhancements. We welcome general Club Sport support or specific Club Sport support. If you are interested in supporting a specific Club Sport, please be sure to stipulate this.
  • University Recreation & Wellness Fencing Club Support Fund
    This fund supports the activities, programs and competition related expenses of the University Recreation & Wellness Fencing Club. The fund also helps support the purchase of necessary equipment and supplies.

    The University Student Judiciary Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 to provide critical support to USJ members facing financial hardship. The USJ Scholarship Fund supports those students who have made distinguished contributions to the academic integrity and ethical development program in the Division of Student Affairs.
  • University of Maryland Aquatic Club
    The University of Maryland Aquatic Club (UMAC) and UMAC -Terrapin Masters Club are year-round USA Swimming and U.S Masters Swimming programs for the youth and adults of College Park and the surrounding communities in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties, and the District of Columbia. The program is directed at all levels of swimming and dedicated to the maximum development of each swimmer as an athlete and as an individual.

    The University of Maryland Veterans Family Scholarship was created in 2012 to meet the growing need for financial support to dependents of active and Veteran service member families.
  • University of Maryland Veterans Housing Scholarship Fund
    The University of Maryland Veterans Housing Scholarship was created in 2012 through the generosity of a local housing corporation to support a Veteran student or family member who needs assistance with living arrangements. The scholarship provides a room in the View housing facility adjacent to campus for the full academic year.
  • University of Maryland Veterans Initiatives Operating Fund
    The UM Veterans Initiative provides the incentive and support necessary to help veterans achieve their academic and personal goals and enhances the support offered by the GI Bill.
  • University of Maryland Veterans Scholarship Fund
    The UM Student Veterans Scholarship Fund is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the active duty military, and who are full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the University of Maryland.
  • University of Maryland Water Polo Club
    The University of Maryland Water Polo Club was established to support programmatic operations as well as equipment needs and expenses for the UMD Water Polo Club.
  • Veterans in Transition Crisis Fund
    Established in 2014, the Veterans Transition Crisis Fund serves as a critical resource for veteran students who are experiencing an unanticipated emergency that requires immediate financial support. In honor of Dr. Nancy K. Schlossberg (professor emerita from the College of Education) and her groundbreaking work in transitions, the S. Irwin Kamin Foundation endowed this Fund in order to perpetually support those who have so selflessly served our nation.
  • Vice President for Student Affairs Discretionary Fund
    The Vice President for Student Affairs Discretionary Fund provides critical funding to support projects, initiatives and programs that, as determined by the Vice President, are in some manner priorities for the Division of Student Affairs. The ultimate goal of this fund is to enhance the student experience.
  • Vincent Family Veterans Scholarship
    The Vincent Family Scholarship was established in honor of Robert J. Vincent, Ph.D., in recognition of his passion, dedication and unique contributions as an intelligence officer for the CIA. This scholarship is opened to all combat Veteran students from any branch of the military completing an undergraduate or graduate degree at the University of Maryland.
  • WMUC Legacy Fund
    The WMUC Legacy Fund provides operational and programmatic support for the WMUC campus radio station.
  • WMUC Scholarship Fund
    The WMUC Scholarship Fund was established to provide support for students who are involved with the campus radio station (WMUC) with a preference for students who demonstrate leadership and have made a positive impact on WMUC.

    Named after former Vice President for Student Affairs, William L. “Bud” Thomas, this account provides annual support for the ODK speaker series.
  • Wofford K. Smith Religious Life Program Fund
    The Wofford K. Smith Religious Life Program Fund was established in June 1986 by friends of Episcopal Chaplain Emeritus Wofford K. Smith. Funds donated towards the Wofford K. Smith Religious Life Program help to support ecumenical religious programs at the University of Maryland.
