Making a Gift and Leaving a Legacy
You too can make a difference in our students lives, just like Bill and Donna Richbourg did.
Bill and Donna Richbourg are proud Terp parents who felt that the University of Maryland welcomed their family with open arms when their son Billy was admitted. They quickly got involved through volunteer programs and started to think about ways to give back, above and beyond their time. They thought about what the students and faculty really needed from Maryland families.
It was at that moment that they decided to make a significant planned gift to the University of Maryland to ensure that students like their son Billy could go to school without any financial hesitation.
You too can make a difference in the lives of students just like Bill and Donna.

The official legal bequest language for the University of Maryland College Park Foundation is:
"I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Main Administration Building, College Park, MD 20742 [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted (or state specific) use and purpose."
Regardless of what you decide, make sure to let us know that you are considering placing the Division of Student Affairs in your will so we can ensure the right language is included. We would also like to thank you for your generous decisions.
Charitable Gift Annuities
Generally, the older you are at the start of your payments, the higher your payments.
These rates are the maximum rates recommended by the American Council on Gift Annuities and are adjusted periodically.
There are many opportunities to name a part of campus through the Division of Student Affairs.
Below are a few places throughout campus that naming opportunities are available.
