The Veterans Scholarship Reception provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our collective progress and to show our gratitude to the men and women in our UMD family who have sacrificed so much. We are thankful for the continued support of so many of our alumni and friends that has helped to launch our Veterans Initiative into a nationally recognized program.
Alternative Breaks at UMD are substance-free, community service-learning trips during winter, spring and summer breaks. Participants travel both locally and internationally to engage in active service, learn about social issues, and build upon community assets.
