Applications for the 2019 Michelle Humanick Scholarship are now being accepted. Please read below for eligibility requirements and to access the application.

Michelle Humanick Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

a. Be a non-traditional, full-time registered degree-seeking undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park during the semester for which the award is made.

Please be aware that the application will not be saved if you decide to close out of the application before submitting.

For convenience sake, the essay questions are as listed below. Please feel free to type your answers in a separate word doc and then copy and paste your answers in the space allocated for it in the application.

Essay Questions:
Answer the following questions to the best of your ability. (Responses will be kept confidential unless permission for wider use is granted by the applicant.)

1. Discuss your journey as a nontraditional student returning to school full time and how being awarded the Michelle Humanick Scholarship would help you achieve your educational goals.

2. This scholarship was created to honor Michelle Humanick, a wife, mother and an employee of the Department of Resident Life who gave selflessly of her time, friendship and had a capacity for caring for the community in which she worked and lived. Please indicate detailed information about service to community and/or family in which you have been involved, past or present, including ways in which you have reached out to serve the needs of others.

3. Are there financial concerns that you want the Scholarship Award Committee to consider when it reviews this application? If so, please provide detailed information.

4. Is there anything else you wish to share with the Scholarship Award Committee about your experience with the University of Maryland?
