About the Maryland Parents & Family Association
Working with the Office of Parents and Family Affairs, the Maryland Parents & Family Association gives parent and family members the opportunity to network and provide support for other parent and family members, and to actively participate in the life of the University by serving on the Parent Advisory Council as well as volunteering for various campus events.
About the Scholarship
The Maryland Parents & Family Association Student Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 by the Parent Advisory Council to provide support for current students in good standing who may be unable to continue their eduction at the University due to extenuating financial circumstances. The fund provides a one-time award for the academic year and is available to students who have completed at least 24 credit hours at the University. In the past, award amounts have been $500, $1,000, and $1,500.
