Returning StudentsThe Returning Student Program was created to provide support for adult students who are in need of financial assistance to continue their education at the University of Maryland.
About the Scholarship
The Returning Student Program is made up of three scholarships. The Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation Scholarships range from $800-$1500 and are available to returning students who are 25 years or older, be admitted as an undergraduate at the University, and have completed at least half the credits needed to complete a degree. Gerald G. Portney Memorial Scholarship is available to undergraduate students 23 years of age and older who are in good academic standing and the Marilyn K. Brown Memorial Loan provides short-term interest-free loans to returning women students with priority given to those 30 years of age and older with children
