About Guiding Lights of the Community

Make a Gift

Fraternities and sororities have the potential to be the most transformative part of the college experience. Often, these transformations are the direct result of the influence and mentorship provided by a chapter advisor or volunteer - someone who has shaped the lives of countless undergrads over their years of engagement. In order to recognize to significant influence these individuals have had in your chapter or community, there will be approximately 21 new light poles associated with the Fraternity and Sorority Life Walkway, each serving as a "Guiding Light of the Community". Each Guiding Light will include a 12" x 12" plaque installed on the top of the knee wall immediately below the corresponding light pole. Plaques will allow for a wide variety of character, symbol and image opportunities.
