Current 2017-18 PPB Members

The Parents Philanthropy Board provides a unique opportunity for UMD parents to fund vital programs that enrich the UMD students experience and the opportunity to engage with the university and the Division of Student Affairs; bringing the viewpoints of a geographically and professionally diverse group of undergraduate parents to provide feedback on significant issues.

Parents are the greatest ambassadors to the university. This distinguish group of parents:

  • Participate in and promote parent involvement in regional events
  • Provide outreach to new and prospective University of Maryland families
  • Host events for parents, prospective students, incoming students and their families
  • Take part in enhancing career services by increasing student networking opportunities by participating in student mentorships and internships

All members of the board have made a significant commitment to the Division of Student Affairs and are members of the Colonnade Leadership Circle, which recognizes annual gifts of $2,500 or more.

Thank you to all our current Parents Philanthropy Board members. We greatly appreciate your service and support to the University of Maryland.

If you are interested in joining the Parents Philanthropy Board, please contact Ed Kenny at edkenny@umd.edu or 301.405.0322.
